THE WEEK THAT WAS (March 22) (Warning: kind of political..)

MONDAY:  Even Elon Musk's vast fortune (earned btw) has to have its limits when your innovative driverless cars keep crashing and spaceships tip over, blow up or burn. But he did get that sports car loving mannequin up orbiting the earth. Just don't expect to find me in line to buy a ticket for any of it.

Revenge gods at work today. I told the Michael's store I preferred not to give my email/telephone number/first born to their computer system as "I am not a crafter; you just have stuff I like now and then". Then I found out the highly-anticipated proclamation I wrote for the conference, declaring April 13 & 14 Conference "Safety Days", will be passed Wednesday but we are not allowed to attend the formal "shoving through" of the bill by the Legislature in person at the Capitol. Another photo op lost in this virtual/pandemic world.

TUESDAY:  So infantile that our Repub legislature is holding up school funding, (that will actually get children back to school) unless the Governor gives up her authority. What the F? This gamemanship has real consequences you yo-yos. Money not used lapses back to the Feds. Ever heard the expression "he was right but he was dead right". Also "cutting off her nose to spite her face". What's the big gain here - vote her out election time but otherwise do your job which does not constitute screwing people and institutions that need the money. The way you've rigged the voting districts (gerrymandering) you probably won't lose your majority either. Why are they only listening to minority mouths (that's right, dems are in the majority if you let all of us vote). You know the ones who want to open everything. Open sports causing the virus variants to multiply along their merry way, (our young deacon just got diagnosed). Open restaurants with no rules where the employees suffer the consequences. Open access and no background checks or restrictions for any military weapon, or unlimited magazines (why can't we buy bazookas, flame throwers and tanks). Darwin rules, but instead of thinning the inferior herd, the strong and innocent keep paying the price.

UPDATE: In case there was any doubt, the head of the GOP in Michigan was recorded calling the three most powerful politicians in Michigan (female) witches who should be softened up to burn at the stake. Now I do despise certain people and their actions but funny how I would never think to call an evil male protagonist a "pencil-dick numbskull who deserved to die" publicly.  Funny how men always attack women in such a way like they are not worthy of (or are afraid of) a real confrontation. Though to be fair I do believe men will insult each other that way, just not formally and on record however.

On another front, I was being serviced today by an Asian-American clerk at the store and I wanted to just say "I'm sorry for the idiots who think your beautiful brown eyes aimed toward heaven are worthy of derision and censure." Hate for no reason except your own fear is certainly a legacy of the last four years. I know there have aways been bias' that attack anything or anyone different but 45 gave voice to it and declared it ok-what a legacy for a President.

Humorous side note.  Watching a commerical for Poshmark where people sell luxury used goods for 100's of dollars - "from their closet" which totally financed their luxury travel trailer or  three story house.  What am I missing here? Didn't you have to pay 100's or more for these items new? Or maybe the idea is to give you 100's of dollars so you can add to it and buy more luxury goods to sell out of your closet. I did have a couple of terms of economics back in the 70's but I don't think buying and selling has changed all that much.

WEDNESDAY: White wine is usually easy on the palate from the get-go; most red wines take real committment. I needed that little glass of red after engaging in techie warfare with all the neat little gadgets I received for recording the podcasts. Also several more leads were eagerly delivered. Apparently people are fervent about sharing their knowledge or gaining notoriety in the safety world. The role of the host is to stay nimble and ask the right questions, create pithy and helpful summaries and be the gate-keeper against any over-commercialization by the interviewees. I am both excited and terrified I am going to fall flat on my face. At least I have gotten used to listening to my own recorded voice. Gosh do I talk fast. Need to ssssllllloooowwww down.

Our Conference Executive Director sent me the back drop for my recorded Welcome Speech to open the conference. She was all excited as she knew I wanted balloons, lots of balloons at the banquet. It's just not the same....

THURSDAY:  After months of ranting on various platforms and inciting millions to scream election fraud, rigged voting machines and providing justification for an armed insurrection, Sidney Powell (after being sued for 1.3 billion dollars) claimed she was only kidding...right.  She claimed no "reasonable person" would believe the bogus claims she made. Truth is not the truth; don't believe what you see; 1984, you were a little late. Wow if guns are not the problem and people are, she certainly handed a bunch of weapons to all these little "problems" who continue to rant on. Which of course has led to the all-out assault on voting rights with 240+ bills floated by republican legislatures to make the system safe and fraud-free when it was ALREADY safe and fraud-free.

FRIDAY:  Major storms in Georgia affecting and crippling thousands and their legislature spends the day passing draconian laws to suppress voting.  Priorities. If you have to win by cheating....We may have won the White House but focus has to be on these people-bashing State houses. They even made it a crime to give food or drink to someone in line to vote. Yes I know in the "olden days" bad, bad politicians would cart everyone to the local saloon and fill them with booze to vote for them, but come on. Gets mighty toasty and humid in Georgia, especially after you limited:  absentee voting; drop boxes; number of days to vote; and polling places thus forcing people (read certain ethnic groups) to stand in line for hours just to perform their rights as citizens. Our own wonderful State withholding money until the Governor cries Uncle. Impossible situations.

BONUS THOUGHT: I know how to get that darn container barge out of the Suez. Just put some gamers in there who love the old school Tetris challenge.  They'll get that round peg in a square hole in no time! Not original but have to share. The barge has blocked so much stuff in the Suez Canal they've renamed it the Mitch McConnell...

SATURDAY:  What would life be like if the repubs focused on something other than Dr Seuss,
Mr. Potato Head and Meghan Markle; maybe grown-up issues like guns, the pandemic, the economy. The R's are all about limited government while they move to regulate our faith choices, bodies, voting practices, mail, schools, etc., etc. I think they don't know what the hell they stand for, except to ban books and higher education, barefoot and pregnant as they used to say. Keep 'em dumb, uninformed, busy and poor sounds about right. What went on in Georgia is downright obscene with six white men crowded around the Governor under a portrait of the slave-owning Callaway Plantation signing away voting rights while a black female State representative is arrested for knocking on his door. The South has never changed and nowadays they "frankly just don't give a damn".

SUNDAY: Taking a break from all the practicing and script re-writing. Though while walking I did realize I was making myself crazy trying to memorize a complicated script. The OH gave me an idea to keep it conversational and "slow down". It hit me. Just little trigger notes, like I used to do for speeches and improvise on the fly. Use my words not someone elses', duh.

Happy Palm Sunday. Our new crop has joined their brother and sister palms on the wall...

RANDOM THOUGHTS (March 15)

MONDAY -- Beware the Ides of March; particularly if you are a much detested autocrat in a toga. Although the "Ides" occur each month roughly on the 15th (according to the ancient Roman calendar) we only celebrate or commiserate the March anniversary. Meanwhile another day at the desk playing with a new webcam (and losing) and more writing.

ASIDE:  Man do I have wrinkles! Not at all ready for my close-ups, Yeesh.

I feel like I'm back at work with this complicated volunteer project-though my desk area is starting to resemble my old office with papers piled everywhere as everything is being worked on simultaneously. Dad saw my office one time and cried "how do you ever find anything?" Well if it's lost long enough my theory is you didn't really need it anyway.

TUESDAY: Excellent conversation/dress rehearsal with an interviewee for one of the EHS podcasts. I wish we had recorded it. Hopefully we can recapture the conversational tone, repartee and facts disguised as entertainment when we go live. It was an interesting take on an individual's overall health having a large impact on workplace injury, lost time and costs. As the population ages and people are working longer, the four morbidities of obesity, blood pressure, diabetes and muscular skeletal issues play a larger role. A new way of thinking for the safety professional used to focusing on strictly "eliminating hazards".

BONUS: Thought to ponder. Why has it become so destructive (mentally, physically, emotionallly, socially) that children are performing so much on-line learning? As I recall pre-pandemic there were constant commercials on the awesome benefits FOR on-line schools. I used to view those commercials and remark, "unless someone is right there making sure they are doing the work I don't buy it". What changed?

WEDNESDAY: I think Defensive Driving courses should be mandatory if good old self-preservation does not do it for you. There is a particular intersection in our little town that allows folks driving south to use two lanes for a left turn. It is notorious for people taking a little of their lane from the middle forcing the car furthest over to duck and dodge. I prepared for it so as I made my turn from the further lane I hesitated a tad and of course, the driver on my left decided to take both lanes ending up in my lane and proceeding blissfully down it like I didn't even exist. Some might say blow your horn but I'd rather use both hands to maneuver and avoid metallic mayhem. Proud to say I used no "finger" language as I made my way past the lane hog.

BONUS: Interesting podcast meeting today where the previous bru-ha-haer was strangely quiet. Of course their camera kept freezing intentionally or not, but no facial expressions were visible. At any rate the first episode is "in the can" so to speak. A bit crude but not bad for a first attempt. I may have to redo the intro that will play before each broadcast as the comments were "great script, great voice" lousy audio. Sounds a bit oxymoron-"iky" but apparently a external microphone is being shipped to me. Hint taken.  Great. More technology to screw up. The first podcast is by the other host until I have some of my own recorded, but I will be present, ghostlike, in the intro heh heh heh

THURSDAY: Hair maintenance conducted today and lunch at a REAL restaurant. Our second attempt since getting vaccine-proofed. I know establishments are suffering, but I rather like the no crowd and exquisite service. Prices are up understandably, but no complaints. I imagine only the stellar staff has been recalled so perhaps that is the difference.

Bru-ha-haer from earlier threw another sharp tool at the Conference today and I had the pleasure of explaining why we were not going to approve the latest assumption. It is going to be hard to get the assistance promised if I have to keep lowering the boom.

FRIDAY:  Hypocrisy reigns. The Repubs (minority) are crying foul at everything they used to do as a majority. I am not proud of either side, as even little kids know how to work/play together and compromise. At least we are seeing legislation making it to the floor, though debate, outside of a bunch of whining, threats and doom, is lacking. Get in those back rooms and DEAL and put those pointing fingers to rest. Reminds me of my old workers' comp days when all the lawyers, and me, would go into the little rooms and decide what each of us could live with. But generally I am glad I don't have to think about what's going on in D.C. 24/7 anymore (more like 12/5).

BONUS:  The grandson is coming overnight so need to limber up my spoiling genes and make sure the pool table is accessible and the balloon we bash around the living room is inflated. Chaos will soon ensue.

SATURDAY: Amazing the noise that one small boy can generate. His parents' must think they are going deaf this weekend with the unexpected loss of their one-boy theater. His self-scripted one-act plays are legendary (and loud) featuring several characters. He is easy to have around, just keep the snacks coming. Last night after we were settled in for an evening movie, he requested popcorn "be sure you put that butter on top!" After delivering the bowl and settling back in to enjoy the movie he sweetly requests "Could I have a drink please". I must have grunted/sighed, which his super-hearing picked up because he said "need to get your steps in".  Now anyone who knows me also knows I do a lot of walking for exercise. Had to laugh, while fetching the drink of course.

When he asked for the popcorn tonight I was ready and brought the drink as well. Though he and Grandpa looked at me oddly and said he had ordered Pringles chips. I do not possess super hearing. I said why didn't anyone say anything when I was popping the popcorn.  Crickets.

SUNDAY:  Daughter came over to pick up her offspring as she put it, before we get tired of hosting him and don't invite him back. She spent considerable time working on my "pseudo-studio" in the basement. After much back and forth she and the hub decided on the lighting and camera placment.  OH was disappointed that we couldn't utilize his old monster lights and umbrellas that he had obtained in his old portrait taking days. He was hoping to bestow them on the Safety Conference after I get tired of podcasting.

Thought for the day. Black teen-agers are called adults and thugs to justify being shot for not moving fast enough; actual adult white male who murders eight people is called a "kid" having a bad day...

RANDOM THOUGHTS (MARCH 8, 2021)

MONDAY -- International Women's Day. Success today as a "kick-butt" crusader and a reminder that I'm still thought of as a whiny woman in the same day. What else is new, that's just life. As the clamor gets louder over Gov Cuomo, I recall my days as a Personnel Director and my adventures as a  woman in a non-traditional profession. In the first I had to mitigate the anguish and fight for accountability and in the second realize that credibility is hard-won and insults must be swallowed whole.

I learned that both sides have their issues. Male supervisors were afraid of being falsely accused and females were afraid to complain. My take is most men are decent and know not to make women feel uncomfortable purposely and many women who have suffered harassment and unwanted sexual advances learn they will not be believed. The women usually had to quit or take a different job.

I had to walk the line between the two. But when multiple women finally feel comfortable enough to out a "horn dog" we should listen.

TUESDAY -- Very moving ceremony today at a very empty Lansing Center. Three firefighters in dress blues, an iconic bell, the color guard ceremony, a bagpiper in glorious dress and the sadness of the 63 names of those who died this past year. All of us masked which is especially poignant.  We had our moments of hilarity of course as we decided a bagpiper playing as he ascended very steep stairs was probably not the "safest" course of action. After a couple of run-throughs, the final recording was done in one take.... until the head of MIOSHA said "sorry guys, but AJ didn't have his mask on as he walked to and from the podium." Shoot. Should probably not enshrine that moment especially as we all had been diligent.  Quick re-enactment and then MIOSHA Bart said "oh darn, I had my coat unbuttoned when we did the retake." LOL.  That's whats editing is for so take 3. Then one of the firefighters mentioned he hadn't taken a deep breath since donning his very form-fitting uniform jacket. Been awhile I guess.

WEDNESDAY -- A small bru of last week's bru-ha-ha raised it's little head today, but moving on is the only option. Recorded our first podcast today with the other host which went very well. I have three in the hopper and am learning every day of what works and creating a distilled script from the original questionnaire is definitely the way to go. Scrambling to understand and make friends with my brand-new green board (which is necessary for any background so parts of you don't disappear, ghost-like on camera). Takes us back to the equipment we used when the OH did portraits. Appears I may have to set up a studio, complete  with lights to do this right and not look like an afterthought if we use any of the video later. So far no success.  Still getting a "whole lot of shakn' going on" on one side of the screen. Argghh

THURSDAY -- Scramble time as we get closer to the Conference. Our Executive Director is pulling miracles out of her proverbial nether regions to keep everybody on track. Inserted myself into one group I'm familiar with to gently get them on board and on time.  Technically I went over "someone's" head to resolve the issue. The OH said I certainly am a rabble rouser lately.

FRIDAY --  Meeting with similarly and fully vaccinated friends for dinner at a REAL restaurant tonight! I texted back FREEDOM. It is a giddy feeling having had both shots. Apparently we seniors are jetting to Florida en masse according to all reports, after a quick squeeze of the grand kids. We have been lucky that our buddy has been in a bubble so we have had reasonable access to his backwards hugs. He backs up for the hug, not sure why; I'm not a grabby, kissy Nana, but he gamely allows the hug so that's all I ask.

Made a Woolworth's-type ice box cheese cake for dessert tonight after dinner. I am so proud. Hope it goes with wine as we tend to imbibe on any and all occasions with friends. Both red and white in the same outing-horrors. Though I started the evening with a Guiness and a Greek salad. (not a fish eater)

UPDATE:  Lemon cheese cake was a critical success as recipe was asked for. Yay. And it does go with Chardonnay-who knew?

DIGRESS: Speaking of Woolworths, we had many a dime store counter adventure with my Grandmother who was perpetually hungry. We loved the fact that whenever we went out with her, we were bound to get a meal even if we just ate or were heading back for a meal. Mother was not pleased. Though I rememer Grandma complaining one holiday that the servers were very surly. Probably because it was a holiday,  and two, they drew the short straw and had to work.  She was very demanding too of course. On a trip to Florida with her it took so long to hotfoot (or wheelchair service it) to the next gate we missed the plane. She insisted they put us up in a hotel for the night until the next flight.  That sure would not happen today.  But she told them we didn't need our luggage. Speak for yourself old lady, but of course I didn't say anything. Trip to Florida and all that.

SATURDAY -- It might be imagination but I swear the priest is looking farther away like the wrong end of the binoculars. We're already six feet apart and every other row. Oh, apparently they moved the altar back as more of us "shot up" people are returning to church. I must be tired, I was the only one who stood up when we read the stewardship prayer. I didn't even notice until I sat down. LOL. Just act natural....

SUNDAY -- The time change doesn't affect me. The OH goes on an on about losing an hour sleep that doesn't come back all summer because it's light until 10:00 -boo-hoo. Got up at my usual 5:30 (4:30) and did my first two miles. Performed my weekly housekeeping, such as it is. Those toilets aren't going to clean themselves. Ran a load of wash. Worked on podcast scripts for most of the day and then took a break to read the 3 day accumulation of newspapers - my reading material is really piling up. I need a special place that's out of the way but accessible enought to bug me that I'm behind in my reading.

Anyway, perched on a stool in the kitchen reading my papers I was rudely awakened when my chin hit the counter.  Who the double hockey sticks falls asleep upright on a kitchen stool? Well I guess I wasn't as upright as I thought. Funny I dreamed I was awake. Which reminds me of the dream I had this am of climbing to the roof of a factory and the Manager bitching me out about it. Have no idea what that nocturnal admission is supposed to signify.  Back to my pile of books...and the crossword puzzle.....

RANDOM THOUGHTS (3/1/21)

MONDAY -- Have you noticed how we have casually slipped into lazier language? When did veggies become a thing? Like it's too hard to use four syllables rather than two. Cra cra for wacky doodle, insane behavior.  App for application. Don't get me started on "smoothies". Apparently we are too tired to chew our food but we will spend oodles of time cutting up and blending. Sorry, if I'm not chewing it ain't food.

Shots in the arm is driving me crazy both from a grammatical standpoint and just a general "ickiness" from the mental image. Cries of fake news are particularly asinine. Apparently some people listen to "news opinions" or "facebook" rather than having to do the hard work of research and discernment. There is a difference, if you're paying attention, when they say overtly or subtly "in my opinion". Duhh

BONUS: As I slipped wraith-like down the stairs at 5:30 am to perform my first 2 mile walk the lack of floodlight shining through the window (which burned out last week) failed to reveal I was one step short of a full case (stair that is). CRASH. The fall wasn't so bad, it was the getting up off the floor. The OH awakened and came down to see if I was bloody and broken  at the bottom of the stairs. Later after he replaced the lights I said "thanks for replacing the outside lights" thinking about the opening I just gave for a perfect straight line which never came. I assumed there would be a crack about having to wake up early to cover emergency treatment. I asked later why he didn't say it and he replied, "Well I was thinking it"....

TUESDAY -- Isn't it ironic that the Atty General candidate Merrick Garland said his first focus would be on the Capitol riot and pursuit of white supremacy issues. Oddly enough the Federal Justice Department actually got its start doing exactly that during reconstruction after the CIVIL WAR. We have not come so far...

BONUS: If someone gives a compliment is it really necessary to repeat it numerous times? I believe most remember the moment without repetition. When repeated ad nauseam it becomes less complimentary.

WEDNESDAY -- Zoom meeting to discuss logistics for recording the Memorial Opening Ceremony for the Safety Conference at the Lansing Center downtown, which is technically closed. It will be so odd to actually see and work with people face to face (mask to mask) rather than through a 17 inch screen. However with the whole place to ourselves I think proper distance can be maintained with only one on-camera at a time; the others basically deck fluff until it's their turn. Even when viewed "virutally" the ceremony will be moving with a Fire Dept color guard, a bagpiper and the ceremonial ringing of the great bell after the names of those who died in work-related incidents are read. 63 deaths this year, roughly double previous years and almost half are due to covid-related exposures from physicians, nurses, maintenance workers to registration clerks in hospitals. It is sobering.

My role after the ceremonious ringing of the bell and Amazing Grace has been played by the bagpiper is to welcome everyone to the conference, read the legislative proclamation and introduce the keynote. What an act to follow. I am still puzzling over how to make that particular transition.  It calls for seriousness touched with rah-rah to kick off the event. Ouch.

BONUS:  Also kicked off an investigation into a group trying to piggy back onto the MSC through less than ethical means.  Basically after sitting in on a rehearsal for another project I had a "something's rotten in ..." moment. Suffice it to say I basically threw a grenade into a pond and the ripples are still reverberating.

THURSDAY -- Continuation of the bonus above. Rules were written and approved by the Chairman of the Board and myself as President and mandates were made to nip the pending bru-ha-ha from going any further. Sorry for any innocents affected, but the integrity and credibility of our 90 year organization was preserved. Not on my watch, I believe I said at one point...

FRIDAY -- Calmer day. Interview questions written for podcast and delivered to the interviewee,  Monday should be interesting.  Thrilled and amused that "Neanderthal thinking" is the consternation in the chicken coops moment of the day. Much better than insurrections and 3rd grade BS from "he who shall not be named". They're really reaching these days...

SATURDAY -- how far would you go to expose or right a wrong even though it may cost you? I know it was a television show but would we risk humiliation, reputation, livelihood or even our lives to do the right thing? I've played in that sandbox on a smaller scale and it is sometimes a lonely path. But after a decision is made and carried out oddly, you sleep better.

BONUS:  Robins, robins, robins!  Ever since we decided not to use robins in our Spring spotting game this year they are practically thumbing their noses/beaks at us and flocking everywhere. The harbinger of Spring has been surprisingly active this winter.

SUNDAY -- Relief package passed after 12 hours of debate without a single Republican vote. Though they voted for earlier relief packages and breezily rammed through tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations (tax breaks that phase out for the middle class in 2021) which basically blew up the national deficit. Now they're whining about the hit to the deficit while conveniently forgetting that this money goes directly to the people who are going to spend it; not pay their shareholders, send it offshore or buy another yacht - major LOL. To explain it further, trickle UP is much more efficient and effective than trickle DOWN.

Further, to get people back to work for decent wages the next agreement should be to rebuild our sadly sagging infrastructure. What a concept. Needed repairs and rebuilding by hard-working Americans who will directly impact the economy. As the GNP is 60 -70% (depending on which Econ Prof you had) driven by domestic spending what's not to like?

HEY MOSES OOPS WE DID IT AGAIN

Did we really see what we saw? A bunch of giggling repubs literally wheeling a "Golden Idol" of beachy Trump with his crotch covering tie and boogie shorts into their CPAC convention? How many evangelicals does it take to deify the ex-Pres? OMG  Apparently irony is not resident in their playbook. Did they pelt the statue with their valuables and kneel down in worship, or at least line up to conduct selfies with a golden ass?

I recall we had a whole Biblical bruhaha over an ungrateful people who got bored as Moses made scarce talking to a burning bush for, who knows, weeks? days? hours? Upon his return glowing from the encounter, Mr. M experiences another unworldly encounter as his people are merrily praying and mardi-gras-ing around a golden calf. Did not make sense then and does not make sense now. Cost them 40 years in the desert which sounds about right. Do you suppose taking away their cell phones and maga-otty paraphernalia is comparable? Perhaps four years of sane and responsible government will be punishment enough.

It is possible they needed the statue to prove their loyalty to the ex-pres who, much like Midas, only responds to gold and narcissism. A two-fer so to speak. I imagine he stood proudly beside it with that goofy, myopic grin and pumped his fists to good old YMCA, not realizing what an incredibly ridiculous meme it has become. I like to imagine some sarcastic independent thinker came up with the idea of mocking the old man with the golden salute and got the mob to agree.

Perhaps the adoring fans should check the commandments they are so vehement about posting everywhere and reread Numero Uno.  You know the one about no other Gods, etc., etc.   I think that's taking politics just a little too far to feed your fantasies and hatred of all things different.

WEEK'S RANDOM THOUGHTS (2/22/21}

MONDAY -- We talk about "giving up" something for Lent. I'm going to try negativity; giving it up I mean. Burns a lot of energy and makes one tiresome to listen to...wish me luck.

TUESDAY -- Ever notice how a diet/workout commercial is usually followed by a food commercial? Rather a symbiotic relationship to keep people in a perpetual state of feast and/or famine.

BONUS THOUGHT:  The most low maintenance plants are the dead ones if you like crispy and                                                 brown

WEDNESDAY -- Do you sometimes think you are the only one holding up a STOP sign when someone tries to ram through an idea like it's a done deal? Glad I did that today, actually.

BONUS THOUGHT: On a business call today a work friend of many years was explaining her tardiness in returning a document by talking about the recent passing of her Mother. As I listened quietly she went into a longer story of the challenges and pain of the last few weeks. When she was done she said "I don't know why I told you all that". I do. When someone is in pain the best thing you can do is shut up and listen. This lady is not a stranger to high emotion and tragedy. She spends her life counseling others after a workplace violence episode and teaches prevention, defense and incident command. I just hope it helped that she chose me to bare her heart.

THURSDAY -- Working from home has its pitfalls. I was busily trying out a new recipe making a cheese cake and totally ignored the buzzing of my phone. Never thought I would have to make excuses for missing a business call, that I myself had arranged, over cooking! Obviously I didn't exactly explain the reason other than "so sorry, I had not sat down at my desk yet to see my appointments"  LOL. Since he interested in the project he was more than gracious about the excuse. The Art of  Doing Business during Pandemic.

FRIDAY -- When you throw out a script and recording and ask people to critique, don't be surprised if they do. My thought was if I could win over a select group then I can sell the whole thing into perpetuity. 1/2 way there. They loved the script. Now to practice the audio. I understand why "spokespersons" make the big bucks.  Try to say environmental, practicitioner, instructional correctly and with enthusiasm.  Take 27....

SATURDAY -- Vax #2 scheduled for today, Yay!  The only trepidation is Burt has received 3 reminder notices and I have received none....I do have the original appointment receipt in hand and my shot card. We shall receive said stab or I will be gathering up discarded old vials to drain the last drops!

SUNDAY -- yay vax, small letters,,,After my morning 2 1/2 mile walk I crashed and burned on the couch for the majority of the day.  First, chills-robe, blanket, fireplace. Next fever. Finally a general blah feeling until the evening. Outside of some swelling I seem to have weathered the anti-body storm that took over for a few hours which I have been assured is a good thing.  Now I really feel fierce!
