MONDAY -- We talk about "giving up" something for Lent. I'm going to try negativity; giving it up I mean. Burns a lot of energy and makes one tiresome to listen to...wish me luck.
TUESDAY -- Ever notice how a diet/workout commercial is usually followed by a food commercial? Rather a symbiotic relationship to keep people in a perpetual state of feast and/or famine.
BONUS THOUGHT: The most low maintenance plants are the dead ones if you like crispy and brown
WEDNESDAY -- Do you sometimes think you are the only one holding up a STOP sign when someone tries to ram through an idea like it's a done deal? Glad I did that today, actually.
BONUS THOUGHT: On a business call today a work friend of many years was explaining her tardiness in returning a document by talking about the recent passing of her Mother. As I listened quietly she went into a longer story of the challenges and pain of the last few weeks. When she was done she said "I don't know why I told you all that". I do. When someone is in pain the best thing you can do is shut up and listen. This lady is not a stranger to high emotion and tragedy. She spends her life counseling others after a workplace violence episode and teaches prevention, defense and incident command. I just hope it helped that she chose me to bare her heart.
THURSDAY -- Working from home has its pitfalls. I was busily trying out a new recipe making a cheese cake and totally ignored the buzzing of my phone. Never thought I would have to make excuses for missing a business call, that I myself had arranged, over cooking! Obviously I didn't exactly explain the reason other than "so sorry, I had not sat down at my desk yet to see my appointments" LOL. Since he interested in the project he was more than gracious about the excuse. The Art of Doing Business during Pandemic.
FRIDAY -- When you throw out a script and recording and ask people to critique, don't be surprised if they do. My thought was if I could win over a select group then I can sell the whole thing into perpetuity. 1/2 way there. They loved the script. Now to practice the audio. I understand why "spokespersons" make the big bucks. Try to say environmental, practicitioner, instructional correctly and with enthusiasm. Take 27....
SATURDAY -- Vax #2 scheduled for today, Yay! The only trepidation is Burt has received 3 reminder notices and I have received none....I do have the original appointment receipt in hand and my shot card. We shall receive said stab or I will be gathering up discarded old vials to drain the last drops!
SUNDAY -- yay vax, small letters,,,After my morning 2 1/2 mile walk I crashed and burned on the couch for the majority of the day. First, chills-robe, blanket, fireplace. Next fever. Finally a general blah feeling until the evening. Outside of some swelling I seem to have weathered the anti-body storm that took over for a few hours which I have been assured is a good thing. Now I really feel fierce!
